Dr. Darden, originally from Michigan, received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 2011, after completing her Bachelor’s of Science at Central Michigan University. She worked at a small animal veterinary clinic in Michigan for 2 years before moving to Indiana, where she continued practicing veterinary medicine and helped with the management of the veterinary clinic and practice group. Dr. Darden moved to Virginia in 2021 for the warmer and shorter winters and to be closer to the ocean, as well as the number of attractions and historical sites in the area. In her free time, Dr. Darden enjoys camping, traveling to visit National Park sites, swimming, hiking, and going to the beach. Her veterinary interests include wellness and preventative care, surgery, as well as urgent care visits. Dr. Darden is also fear-free certified, and aims to make veterinary visits enjoyable for the pets, owners, and entire veterinary team.
